Alison Murdoch

Graduate of Fine Art from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee

These works are self portraits. They are an exploration of universal themes, emotions, moods, instinct, passion, personality, sensation, being, love, relationships, happiness, sadness, arrival, departure, discovery, loss, colour, paint and painting. They are personal experience. The sea is a recurring subject, sometimes as metaphor. The work is representational but the colour is often abstract, through a traditional medium of oil on canvas.
