MALCOLM CROFT has been painting since 2005 following a serious road accident that ended his career in photojournalism. In that time he's taught himself to paint and has taken part in a number of successful exhibitions. His work is held in private collections both here and on the Continent. Malcolm's work is influenced by many of the post-Impressionists, in particular the Fauves, the Nabis, and the Expressionists, and by David Hockney, Patrick Caulfield, and Peter Coker. He uses bold outlines and bright colours to bring a crisp and lively feel to his subject matter - landscapes and flowers and still lives that have a strong reference to his love of food and drink and communal eating. Malcolm's work can be seen at the Collect Art gallery, Lymm, Cheshire,
The White Gallery, Bollington, Cheshire and at the Troubadour in Chorlton's
trendy Beech Road, Manchester. If you would like to visit Malcolm's studio at Vernon Mill near Junction 27 of the M60 in Stockport please email malcolmcroft@hotmail.com to make an appointment.
