Andy Laffan

I have always had a strong interest in sculpture and three dimensional work, and studied 3D design, (wood, metals and plastics) at Bristol polytechnic in the early eighties.

Now that I have some studio space at the VMA I can look forward to experimenting with techniques and materials and explore more conceptual ideas in sculpture.

Working in stone and wood I'm enjoying the physical effort of direct carving.

Andy's work can also be seen on his own personal website http://www.hammeronchisel.com
